• Treating patients.
• Informing patients and the public on medical conditions.
• Providing advice to patients or family members.

Nurses usually work inside of a hospital. Nurses spend a lot of time walking around and are usually standing. Their hours are usually pretty high, because people require 24 hour care. RN's work part time, and a nurse with a higher degree, such as a BSN, works more hours. Most nurses work a 40 hour week. Nurses face many dangerous situations.

If you are interested in being a nurse then you should have some good people skills. You will be talking to patients so you need to be able to talk to them and not be shy. You should like doing hands-on activities. A nurse should be caring, detailed, responsible, and sympathetic.
